Men who don’t have cervixes are being offered cervical exams to avoid offending transgender people–and it gets crazier

By Jonathon Van Maren

As the transgender juggernaut continues to wreak havoc throughout the culture, medical professionals are often left twisting in the wind, trying to discover a way of doing their job without tromping onto one of the many new landmines that LGBT activists have carefully planted in their paths. According to The Sun, for example, women who identify as male are frequently not being offered vital screenings for breast cancer and cervical cancer for fear that these offers might offend them.

On the other hand, however, men who identify as women are being offered these exams. From The Sun:

But men identifying as women will be invited for cervical smear tests – even though they don’t have a cervix. The advice comes from a 24-page booklet published by Public Health England called “Information for trans people”. The PHE booklet explains “who we invite for screening”.

Transpeople who register with their GP as their birth sex will be invited to screenings appropriate to that, but if they register as they gender they identify as they will not be. If a transman, born female, registers as male he won’t be invited for routine breast screenings at 50, or cervical screening. However, if a transwoman registers as female they will be routinely invited for cervical screening.

Cervical cancer claims the lives of 900 women each year in Britain, and it is believed the number would be four times higher without screening. Screening saves lives by spotting cancer early so treatment can begin sooner. Those who are not screened are more likely to develop a more advanced cancer which can be fatal.

Men identifying as women will also miss out on getting tested for a blood vessel defect called an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), from the age of 65 men are invited to attend an ultrasound scan. AAAs are six times more common in older men than women, and if left untreated can result in a fatal artery rupture. The booklet warns: “Any trans woman [born male] will have the same risk as a man and should consider accessing screening.”

But it adds: ‘If you are a trans woman aged 65 who is registered with a GP as female, you won’t be invited for screening.” Public Health England have said that screening invitations were automatically sent by computer and were based based on the patients’ registered age and sex.

Women’s campaigner Laura Perrins told the Mail On Sunday: “We’ve now got to the point where state collusion with this transgender agenda is endangering the health of women. “It’s a ludicrous use of NHS resources to invite men for a cervical smear test, while it’s immoral and dangerous not to invite women.”

A few years ago, a story like this would be explosive, and the insanity of the LGBT movement would be roundly mocked. These days, however, you’re unlikely to hear any jokes being made about men getting cervical examinations—and anyone who dares would probably incur nervous chuckles and furtive glances. On that, at least, we should all be able to agree: The results of the transgender ideology may be insane, but they are also dangerous and very, very unfunny.

  1. Anne Haehl says:

Actually breath exams for men who are taking female hormones is probably not a bad idea. Men do get breast cancer, and we don’t yet know what taking female hormones does to a man’s cancer risk.

  2. Thomas Moore says:

This reminds me of my X who demanded under penalty of retribution that I believe her fantasies of lies and dreams and nightmares. She “believed it” therefore it was so and any disbelief in her mind of lies was to be attacked. There are exactly 2 genders although there are a great many hundreds of lies beyond those 2.
