Dominican Republic refusing to legalize abortion under massive pressure (and other stories)

Unsurprisingly, Joe Biden fired Sharon Gustafson, general counsel for the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission, after she produced a report highlighting discrimination against religious people in American workplaces. The report, which was removed from the EOEC website, detailed a wide range of discriminatory practices, including two employees fired from the Kroger grocery store chain for declining to wear Pride aprons. Biden doesn’t believe in religious liberty, and so the report—and its author—proved inconvenient.

A federal appeals court lifted a hold on Ohio’s ban on abortions on babies with Down syndrome on Tuesday, making it more likely that the Supreme Court will weigh in on this case.

Now, the United Nations, the international abortion industry, and abortion activists are pushing the president of the Dominican Republic to decriminalize abortion. President Luis Abinader had previously promised to legalize feticide, but concerted pressure from pro-life groups and churches resulted in Abinader backing down and saying that he would not “impose his personal opinion” on lawmakers.

Reports indicate that Chinese Christians are being imprisoned by the Communist Party in secret facilities where they are subject to torture designed to force them to renounce their faith. The police appear to be primarily targeting house churches; many Christians are disappearing for years at a time—or altogether.

The Christian Post reports that the number of evangelicals in Mexico is undergoing a dramatic increase.

National Review reports that the Democrats are using false claims to scrap the Hyde Amendment once and for awhile. The amendment, which prevents taxpayer dollars from being used to fund abortion, has saved over 2.4 million lives.
