As multiple Canadian provinces decide to endorse minimal parental rights, the legal vanguard of the LGBT movement is swinging into action. I have zero faith in Canadian courts, but we’ll see how this plays out: “Saskatchewan government facing legal action over student pronoun decision.”

The same thing is unfolding in Canada-to-the-South, California—these people will do anything to cut parents out of the conversation as trans activists run the curriculum: “California’s attorney general sues school district over policy requiring parental notification when students change gender identification.”

Some rare good news from California on this very subject, however, may bode well: “A California mother who claims that her daughter was ‘socially transitioned’ to act as a boy without parental consent while at school has reached a $100,000 settlement with the California school district.” An excerpt:

The Spreckels Union School District in Monterey County is accused of “socially transitioning” an 11-year-old student away from her biological gender. Jessica Konen claims that her daughter, Alicia, who had reportedly been questioning her gender identity, was told by the school district that she needed to find out who she “truly was inside.” She was then socially transitioned away from being a girl and was told to use the boy’s restroom and was addressed by male pronouns, Fox News reports.

Konen, who had not been notified by the school of her daughter’s “transition,” sued the Spreckels Union School District after finding out that Alicia had been identifying as male while at school. Her daughter has since re-identified as a girl, according to Konen, who was represented by the Center for American Liberty in the suit.

This, from National Review, is heartbreaking: “Thousands of Minors Have Received ‘Gender-Affirming Surgeries.’” An excerpt:

How many of the 3,678 surgeries between ages 12–18 were of the genitals? According to the report, “405 patients (11.0%) aged 12 to 18 years underwent genital surgery.” I suspect — hope — that most of these were age 18, but surely not all. If I am right, that means at least some minors have had their genitals destroyed, rendering them infertile and almost surely incapable of orgasm for the rest of their lives.
