On his first half-day in office, Joe Biden signed 17 executive orders, undoing with his pen what Trump did with his. His first order of business was to deliver the victory LGBT groups had been demanding (while ignoring a statement from the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops expressing their concern over his anti-life and anti-family agenda). According to the Human Rights Campaign, one of the most powerful LGBT lobby groups in the world:
Biden’s Executive Order is the most substantive, wide-ranging executive order concerning sexual orientation and gender identity ever issued by a United States president. Today, millions of Americans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their President and their government believe discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity is not only intolerable but illegal. By fully implementing the Supreme Court’s historic ruling in Bostock, the federal government will enforce federal law to protect LGBTQ people from discrimination in employment, health care, housing, and education, and other key areas of life.
As Abigail Shrier, author of Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters, wrote on Twitter: “On day 1, Biden unilaterally eviscerates women’s sports. Any educational institution that receives federal funding must admit biologically-male athletes to women’s teams, women’s scholarships, etc. A new glass ceiling was just placed over girls.” Ryan Anderson, author of When Harry Became Sally, noted that: “The federal government [is] mandating that males be allowed inside female-only spaces and take places on female sports teams. Unity.”
This was expected, and is in all likelihood the first salvo. As I wrote yesterday, Joe Biden may look like a harmless old man, but don’t be fooled: His agenda is extraordinarily radical. So radical, in fact, that if you’d told Joe Biden the last time he ran for president what Joe Biden would be supporting this time he ran for president, he’d undoubtedly call you a liar.
According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, Biden will also reverse the Mexico City Policy today, which prevents U.S. tax dollars from funding abortion overseas. Not surprising considering that sponsoring a flag at Biden’s Inauguration would result in donations sent to Planned Parenthood.
These are Biden’s priorities. This is what Evangelicals for Biden were pushing for. This is what Lecrae was pushing for when he campaigned for radical pro-abortion politicians in the Georgia runoff races. Biden and Harris called for unity, as all politicians must. But on some issues there can be no unity. We cannot shake hands over a pile of baby corpses.
