Pro-lifers forced a number of concessions from Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Donald Trump’s pro-abortion nominee for HHS secretary, including stripping the NIH from using aborted babies in research, promising to support the administration’s pro-life policies, and stating that “Every abortion is a tragedy” and “We cannot be a moral nation if we have 1.2 million abortions a year.” I’d prefer a pro-life nominee. But if RFK Jr. is going to get the job, these concessions are important.
