Hard to say. He’s more establishment-friendly and openly pro-abortion than Andrew Scheer was, and (unlike O’Toole) has a credible argument going forward (picked up seats and increased Conservative share of the popular vote to record high). While this is in spite of Poilievre rather than because of him (he’d have won his own seat if he actually had appeal), he’s establishment-friendly so I bet he gets another bite at the apple. Even though Doug Ford tried the Peter Mackay “open net” gambit (and, unlike Mackay, he’s someone Canadians have actually thought about since 2004).
