Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, grandson of the Queen of England, son of the future king of England, has decided to weigh in once again on American politics. This time, in a long, boring, and monotone speech on the legacy of Nelson Mandela (shot through with so many cliches that those who stayed awake deserve a round of applause), Harry mourned the fall of Roe v. Wade, calling it part of a “global assault on democracy and freedom” along with the war on Ukraine. The speech, however, indicated that Harry may fall out of the limelight sooner than he thinks, not because he’s woke—because he’s boring.

The National Review editors condemn the recent Congressional bill requiring that all states stick with the Supreme Court’s 2015 redefinition of marriage, with 47 Republicans joining the Democrats. Here was Pete Buttigieg’s reaction to all this:

The European Union is again targeting Hungary over its law protecting minors from LGBT propaganda:
In two separate filings Friday with the Court of Justice, the European Commission sued Hungary over a Hungarian law which discriminates against people on the basis of their sexual orientation and gender identity. The EU Commission also sued the government of Hungary’s nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban for breaching EU telecoms rules with the Hungarian Media Council’s refusal to renew the license of Klubradio, a broadcaster critical of Orban’s government. The Hungarian law, in particular, singles out and targets LGBTQ and intersex content that “promotes or portrays” what it refers to as “divergence from self-identity corresponding to sex at birth, sex change or homosexuality” for individuals under 18.
