How the transgender movement is just like QAnon (and other stories)

A roundup of news and commentary from around the interwebs.

The Daily Wire reports that parents are furious after a Manhattan private school hosted a “porn workshop” for their kids. I suspect that if parents were carefully tracking what goes on at school, they’d be angry far more often.

In a bold, provocative, and characteristically brilliant article in the Claremont Review of Books titled “Girls Will Be Boys,” Mary Eberstadt—America’s preeminent historian of the Sexual Revolution—compares the transgender craze to the Q phenomenon. There are far more similarities than you might think.

I recently interviewed the Hungarian family minister for The American Conservative—here’s another good analysis of the ongoing experiment there. I particularly like the way this sentiment is expressed, from a government spokesperson last year:

“What we need is not numbers, but Hungarian children: we’re not seeking to sustain an economic system, but Hungary, the Hungarian nation and Hungarian history; we want to encourage the continuation of our families for several generations.”

What a novel idea.

The LGBT colonization of the U.S. Military continues with the U.S. Air Force’s announcement of a “transgender working group” to “raise awareness and understanding of transgender Airmen, Guardians and cadets at the school.” More:

Doctor Joseph Looney, the Academy’s chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer, said the number of requests from across the base to support the Transgender Working Group has been “overwhelming.” Looney holds a doctorate of counseling psychology from Arizona State University

“Along with organizational representation, the team has a cadet representative from the Spectrum club, and the invaluable participation of a transgender Airman,” he said. “We’re committed to supporting transgender Airmen and cadets.”

I’m sure Dr. Looney is doing a bang-up job.

Leslie Stahl of 60 Minutes is discovering that there are some places where journalists are no longer permitted to tread—and one of those places is investigating the stories of “de-transitioners”; those young people who attempted to transition to the opposite gender and regretted it. Many of them were rushed into hormone therapy and surgery after only a handful of visits—Stahl appeared stunned by this during one interview. The backlash was brutal as trans activists came after her—The Christian Post covers that story here. She’s now being forced to defend her decision to air these stories.

The Ottawa Catholic School Board has decided to raise the Pride flag for June. Social Stockholm Syndrome continues as cowed Catholics raise the flag of a movement fundamentally hostile to their Church.

In the Human Life Review, Alexandra DeSanctis has a good overview of the ongoing David Daleiden case.
