The Abortion Convention

According to the political action group “Evangelicals for Harris,” the Democratic Convention thus far has been a paragon of godliness. “If you want to see Christ’s love, it was on full display last night at the DNC,” they enthused on X. “From feeding the hungry to housing the unhoused to caring for our neighbors, Kamala Harris and her supporters are showing us a way aligned with His teachings.”

A side note: If you’ve noticed the leftward drift of Christianity Today over the past several years, it’s no accident one of the most influential “Evangelicals for Harris,” Claude Alexander, is the chair of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary’s board of trustees and sits on the boards of Christianity Today, Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, BioLogos, and other large organizations.

Alexander also thinks abortion should be legal. “Evangelicals for Harris” makes about as much sense as “Abortionists for Babies.” I don’t know what DNC those spiritual quislings have been watching thus far, but what the rest of us have witnessed over the past day and a half highlights the fact that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are not only the abortion candidates running an abortion election – this year’s Democrat extravaganza could also aptly be called the abortion convention.

As I wrote earlier this week, Planned Parenthood set up camp a few blocks away to offer free abortions and vasectomies and reported that their appointment slots filled up quickly. Planned Parenthood has since reported that at least 10 babies have been aborted since the Democratic National Convention began – and that was just on Monday. Lila Rose of Live Action called the heartbreaking news – delivered with glee – evidence of the “DNC’s hellish abortion rituals,” and she’s not wrong.

Then there was Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear’s horrific comments on MSNBC. “Think about what some people have had to go through because of these [pro-life laws],” he said. “I mean, JD Vance calls pregnancy resulting from rape ‘inconvenient.’ Inconvenience is traffic. I mean, make him go through this!” Vance shot back on X: “What the hell is this? Why is @AndyBeshearKY wishing that a member of my family would get raped?!? What a disgusting person.” I wish I were surprised, but I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard abortion supporters wish rape on my pro-life colleagues for standing up for pre-born children.

Monday night’s big speech was from alleged President Joe Biden, who made sure to focus on abortion as well – at least, I think he did. He completely short-circuited while talking about the backlash to the overturn of Roe v. Wade, stating that women in the United States “are not without electrical power” – or something. Watch for yourself:

Even when he can barely talk, Joe Biden is still all in on abortion. It’s both sad and terrifying: this old man is going to go to his grave defending an abortion regime with a kill count of over 60 million. That’s a fearful way to go.

As one wag once put it: These feminists are feminine like cannibals are chefs. Meanwhile, it’s only Tuesday. Planned Parenthood opened for more free child sacrifice this morning, and the roar of the crowd inside is easily loud enough to drown out both the silent screams of dying children – and the hardened consciences of Evangelicals for Harris.
