On July 7, 2018, Irish pro-lifers from the North and the South gathered in Belfast. Niamh Uí Bhriain of Life Institute gave a spellbinding and heartbreaking speech declaring Irish defiance in the face of a rising Culture of Death and promising that the abortion referendum on May 25 would not be the last word on the killing of children in Ireland. There was not a dry eye in my house as we listened to this battle cry, and I honestly believe it is the best pro-life speech I’ve ever heard–and I’ve heard a lot of them. The first All Ireland Rally for Life after the abortion referendum demanded a special kind of speech, and Uí Bhriain’s riveting words rose to the occasion perfectly. There was one big strong farmer who came up to her after the speech crying his eyes out, heartbroken for all the babies, she told me. “I told him he couldn’t have fought any harder or better, which was true.” Take the time to watch this. A speech like this often only happens once in a generation.

Jonathan,
Thanks for posting this video. As a long time pro-lifer in the State of Ohio, who has been arrested multiple times for rescues in 1986 and 1987, this is a galvanizing speech! We must be firm in our resolve to carry on the fight for life!
My pleasure!
