Pornhub has been under fire for months now (I’ve been covering the story consistently–you can check out the coverage here) and Canadian Parliament is investigating the site and the owner of this porn monopoly, a Montreal-based company called Mindgeek. Attorney Michael Bowe testified to the Canadian Ethics and Privacy Committee, in which he revealed that the “Monsanto of porn” has been gaslighting victims while profiting from rape, sex trafficking, child porn, and abuse. NDP MP Charlie Angus just posted his testimony. Watch it–it’s worth the time. Bowe lays out precisely what Mindgeek is guilty of and how they have thus far dodged responsibility. It is very damning.
