Eh. Party platforms are just virtue-signalling. Case in point: Erin O’Toole is in charge of a party that has conscience rights in its platform. If the Alberta UCP is actually in favour of conscience rights, it needs to come from a government bill or at least an election promise (which would raise the question of “why didn’t you do it when you had a majority?”). Either of those would require actual leadership though, not a stalking horse private member’s bill.
