Austin Ruse of C-Fam reports that abortion activists are trying to bar pro-lifers from important UN meetings and conferences where the fate of the pre-born is being debated:
The sexual left has never wanted Christian conservatives in the halls of the UN. They have fought to keep us out with varying degrees of intensity. Their resistance has gone from the childish — when we were accrediting 300 people to a particular conference years ago, the woman checking names, stole our list, and refused to give it back — to the serious — in recent days leading feminists at the UN have accused us of “disrupting meetings.”
In the Netherlands, euthanasia deaths increased in 2021 by 10.5%, to 7,666. A full 115 of those deaths were for mental illness.

Transgender Trend is reporting that UK officials appear to be getting genuinely serious about investigating the claims of transgenderism:
Health Secretary Sajid Javid has announced an urgent inquiry into gender hormone treatment for vulnerable children, stating that the system is “failing children.” The Health Secretary is planning an overhaul of how health service staff deal with under-18s who question their gender identity and has likened political sensitivities over gender dysphoria to the fears of racism in Rotherham over grooming gangs.
The Times reports that Javid is also preparing legal changes that would give Hilary Cass access to an NHS database of children treated by the service to see how many later regretted taking puberty-blockers and cross-sex hormones.
Language warning: This review of a new book defending transgenderism is savage, but in the context necessary. The book is actually titled Please Miss: A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Penis and written by a man claiming to be a woman. Brendan O’Neill exposes how staggeringly stupid it is that our society accepts his claims in a brutal takedown titled “How the trans ideology dehumanises women.” Don’t read it if you can’t handle a lot of crude language (most of which are direct quotes from the unfortunately famous book.)

America’s elderly Catholic president strikes again. From Reuters:
President Joe Biden’s administration plans to rescind a rule devised under his predecessor Donald Trump that was intended to make it easier for healthcare providers including doctors and nurses to avoid performing abortions or other medical services on religious or moral grounds, Politico reported on Tuesday.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in 2018 unveiled what it called the “conscience rule,” but it never took effect due to litigation. States including California and New York and abortion providers filed suit to challenge it, leading a federal court to block the measure in 2019.
Biden’s attacks not just on rights for the pre-born but on the rights of those—including fellow Catholics—who do not want to participate in their destruction are shameful.
