Remember when parents didn’t think it was a good idea for their children to see other naked adults? Yeah, that was back when people were close-minded and homophobic. Now, Pride events across the country feature simulated sex acts, public nudity, and a wide variety of other weird fetishes—and Canada’s public broadcaster, funded by the taxpayers, published a helpful list of tips for for parents taking their kids  to the outdoor strip show.

WATCH: Heartbreaking video.

For example, the CBC finds it important that parents “be open-minded.” After all, some kids might find it initially weird:

Your kids will probably see boobs and penises. There will bodies of all shapes, sizes and in all states of undress. For parents like Ian Duncan, dad to 3-year-old Carson, this is all part of the appeal. “We’re not body shamers,” he says. “It all feeds into my son’s emotional intelligence and sexual development. And it’s never too early to think about that.” Consider the experience as a great opportunity for some interesting discussion. Explain what you’re seeing, and be ready for questions.

You read that correctly. Our public broadcaster thinks that children under the age of five seeing drag queens waving their genitals is “a great opportunity for some interesting discussion.” Some parents are apparently concerned with the sexual development of their three-year-olds, which they have concluded will be furthered by being exposed to adult men simulating sex with each other in bondage gear. Somehow, public acts of gross indecency that would have once been condemned across the board by people of every political persuasion are now something you should consider taking your kids to:

Julie and Angela Burnett are mums to two busy boys under two — almost 2-year-old Liam and 4-month-old Ben — and they live about an hour’s drive from the city. “Despite the effort of loading up the car with baby and toddler essentials, we always attend because it instills a sense of pride in our children and our family as a whole,” they say. “I want our boys to broaden their sense of what a family is and to be reassured that ours is just as special and important as all the other types of families they see. Pride gives them that.” After all, whether your family is part of the LGBT community or not, who doesn’t want to raise children that grow up to be thoughtful and open-minded allies? Happy Pride!

Just to recap: Canada’s public broadcaster, which is funded by the taxpayers, is advising parents to take their children to an event where they admit the children will see the genitals of adult men. For some reason, this is not considered child abuse, and is not considered creepy. Rather, the penises of Gay Pride revelers are now supposed to be interesting discussion opportunities for little kids who need to be sexually developed and open-minded.

It is these people who sneer at Christian parents.

Nothing to do with being homophobic but rather diminishing values and self respect. If Street Hookers did a march like this there would be a different response. Even animals don’t go naked, they have coats of some kind. Our liberalisn has gone too far and really need to take a good look at ourselves in the mirror and ask ” is this who we really want to be”.

    • Bryan Benay says:

The CBC and their liberal buddies are the only immoral group in this story. Justin Trudeau is the leader..

      • MARIE HOPMAN says:

and I am sure you are no angel That is pretty low to knock a person for their name I thought stuff like that ended in junior high. There is nothing normal about naked men and women walking the streets. You want to be proud you are gay, so be it but walking naked down the street has nothing to do with pride. As for the parents who take their kids to these events, This is child abuse.

    • David Calvani says:

Even animals don’t go naked? REALLY?!

Animals will copulate right in front of the whole world — no privacy required. They’ll urinate and defecate likewise. Yet you think having fur or feathers — which only birds and mammals have — is some sort of modesty? That’s nuts.

Our ancestors walked around naked before they learned to make clothing. Some primitive people do so today.

      • Mee says:

Davis Calvani I guess that’s why the first is called “animals” and the second is called “primitive”. I would like to think that man has developed a few more morals than animals and primitives. Anyway, where are you going to hide your wallet without clothes?????

      • Joel S. Gehrke says:

Our ancestors did not walk around naked. Even jungle tribes cover their genitals. You are getting your anthropology from the cartoons.

    • Catherine says:

And the little children with “two mum” are forced to swallow this “pride” every minute of their lives. I’m doubly sickened.

    • Beverley Campbell says:

Imagine being so witless as to think that taking a TWO year old and a FOUR MONTH old to a gay pride parade is going to teach them anything except that it is too hot here and I want to go home. How much of an ass would you have to be to think that way? Those two women just don’t want to miss the parade but I think they have already missed it.

  2. Aaron Grim says:

My children would not have a gay time at a celebration of unnatural relations gathering, where people are doing what the article says, they would be terrified! I’m sure kids were traumitised by the whole ordeal. Also I will never adopt the idea that the rainbow is nothing more than a beautiful reminder of God’s promise to never again flood the world.

  3. Shannon says:

Poor kids! Everyone’s genitals are eye level for children and that gives them a whole new perspective on nudity. It also gives a distorted view of social norms as being nude in public and imitating sex acts is not appropriate.

    • Clayton says:

Love the perspectives! But no need to have a child see Adult nudity. But nothing shocks me anymore! A child is a child and an adult is an adult! We seem to want to blur all distinctions!

  4. Yeshuado says:

    This is what Jesus said:
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe to stumble, it would be better for him if, with a heavy millstone hung around his neck, he had been cast into the sea. “If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life crippled, than, having your two hands, to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire, where THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED. If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life lame, than, having your two feet, to be cast into hell, where THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED. If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be cast into hell, where THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED…”
    ◄ Mark 9:43-48 ►
    “Repent and sin no more!”

      • David Calvani says:

They don’t have to see it, Jonathon. They can always close their eyes.

The problem here is you’ve confused the sexually charged (I’d even say hypercharged) atmosphere of these events with public nudity per se.

  5. Just Klugkist says:

Totally agree with the first comment. You don’t see heterosexual parades. It is absolutely ridiculous that they have to put on such a display just to say that you need to accept this lifestyle. I don’t care what you do behind closed doors just don’t ask me to watch it in public and expose our young children to it. Society has gone off it wheels and seriously needs to realign.

  6. Alexis Reilly says:

I don’t think it’s a matter of morals and values we live in a free country we have had family members fight and die for our freedom. I am not lesbian I am not homophobic I could careless about who or what you are. But what does bother me is that in a FREE country such as Canada. There are people still living inside their own personal box. Who are we to say what is morally right or wrong. My beliefs and values aRe not going to be the same as yours or your neighbours. Or who knows they maybe close. I think that people that judge the pride walk where participants are clothed or not. The people judging are far more outside the standards of self diminishing and have lost the values of the developing growing accepting free country. We are privileged to be Canadians privileged to be born already free to be dressed or undressed and not get shot or bombed be able to use the water. So back to my point if you don’t like it don’t look at but don’t judge others for exercising their free right to express themselves how they see fit. If parents are taking their kids they prolly already know there is gonna be naked people . Just sayin. I took my kids to festivals theRe were naked men women even kids and it was not in the least bit awkward. It is only weird if you make it weird or demish values.

    • Jonathon Van Maren says:

It’s actually still illegal to expose yourself to a child, and it’s technically illegal to go nude in public. This is about indecent exposure.

      • June McLeish says:

While it is illegal to expose yourself to anyone, let alone a child and while it is technically illegal to go totally nude in public, keep in mind that for women in Ontario it is perfectly legal for them to go topless on city streets, in parks, at beaches etc. While I had my own views on the human body and I raised my children to believe and know that God makes our bodies beautiful, today without even being part of Pride, the discussion will have to take place in families before they catch view of a topless woman. There are not a lot of them, but they are out there and they are legal. The same is true for breastfeeding in public and there are a lot more women doing that. While most women do attempt to be discrete, breasts and nipples may still make an appearance and children I believe should be prepared so they are not shocked or traumatized.

        • Teresa B says:

Do you feel the need to have conversations with your children about men being topless as well? Funny thing.. it’s legal for men too. But because it’s common and no one raises a fuss about it children see it as natural and ok. Women have the same right and just maybe if we didn’t have conversations about it they’d also see it as natural and ok?

    • simon unrau says:

I had better writing skills than you in elementary school. Maybe learn the basics of communication before showing your intellectual lacking to the world and expecting them to respect what you have to say.

    • 1God says:

God is the one who said it was wrong and immoral. You are a godless person if you disregard what the creator is telling you. God destroyed every nation that openly did this immoral act. If you have no standards or boundaries you can go as far as accepting Phedophelia. Every religion in the world condemns this. You are the people of Gog and Magog. You all have been warned in every book of the Hell fire which is real. You’ll have to answer to the creator in the grave and on the day of judement. On that day you can’t say no one told you… This life is fleeting the next is for eternity.

    • Brenda says:

My daughter is gay, I would love to take her younger sister to the event, I can’t.. My daughter has no business seeing such things.. I teach her it’s wrong for a male or a female to stick their genitals in or around her face.. It’s not about gay pride anymore it’s about embracing the crazy.. Now I don’t care who you know or who you blow,or what turns your crank, It’s a public place, that’s like saying I could get dressed in leather and fuck my husband on the lawn because I’m a freaky like that.. It’s a pathic display of I can just because I can get away with it.. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should…
Just ridiculous.. Talk about attention seekers, I’m sorry someone shows up at an event I’m holding nude because they can, I’ll be the first to Rip it’s balls off or kick in the c#nt.. This is Canada and it has to find a middle ground where all of it citizens are happy not just the ones they pick and choose because they’re feeling the need to because they feel like the media might make them look bad..
I’m the mother of two Bi children and 1 lesbian.. I believe people have a choice to choose, it doesn’t need to be in the media being pushed down everyone’s throat..
      I mean I don’t get a parade because I chose to be straight, I raised 3 gay proud children I don’t get a parade..
I just think common sense is a thing of the past because people in general are to stupid for their own good.. When the numbers in gay, transexual, and transgender rapes increase you can thank yourselves because these kind of displays only bring negative out comes..
Makes me fear for my children…
      Sickening..

    • ForeverChristianfighter says:

You know how I can tell its a child/ person trying to lie and excuse the fact that this is a wrong act and an act that should instead be punished?

Because you write like a child. And twist the truth and words, twist real logic to suit your own needs.

Meanwhile, to all non-idiots, we realise the world is going to kill itself, and no matter how many people we tell, we are the ones in the wrong.

Just a matter of time I reckon before the Lord comes, and then, who will be the last one laughing?

Will you repent, will you ask God to forgive your transgressions, or will you die a 2nd death?

    • Karen says:

We dont want to see you playing with each others privates or watch you expose yourselves to your children. Oh and by the way there are people in your so called Pride Parade that are looking at your children with sexual thoughts, but hey they are your kids, makes me want to cry though.

  7. Bet says:

the world with no values, no respect, self centered, no morals, no true love.
Knowledge will pass, wisdom will cease.

  8. Thomas Haley says:

I’m bi and have been in a few pride parades. But the nudity chaps and things are fine for the clubs but not a parade for the public. What happened to respect????

    • Brenda says:

Thanks so much for that, I don’t know about you but I fear for my kids (1 is lesbian 2 are Bi ) I fear things like this cast a dark light over the parade.. I don’t want to bring my youngest to see that e en though I would like her to go and be proud of her siblings.. I find it’s become a place for attention seekers rather than a place for proud of who they are, I believe everyone has a right to be who they are , but I think the amount of rapes will increase for transgender, gay n lesbian people.. It truly scares me for not just my kids but other parents.. We love our kids no matter their choices, I just don’t want to see some sick individual take it to far because of what’s seen in the parade..
I mean there are a lot of mentally disturbed people who will just look at it as away to take advantage of situation such as this one..
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should…
      Please stay safe..

    • Bobi Aumuller says:

I absolutely agree! I am proud that society is finally no longer persecuting people based on their sexual orientation and for that the LGBT community SHOULD celebrate and to never forget the hurdles, abuse and bigotry that those who started the pride movement had to endure to get the equality they finally deserve. Unfortunately the simulation of sex acts and public nudity do nothing but make a mockery of what the community has initially been fighting for.

  9. I. Thomson says:

If heterosexual couples acted the way these perverted exhibitionist do in the streets, they would be arrested for indecent behavior and lude acts. The streets is no place for this and exposing children to such displays is otherwise criminal. Child endangermemt! The CBC must go!

  10. Richard Courtemanche says:

Gays I know have more respect for themselves than participating in such despicable spectacle. No one has to be a prude to find that utterly disgusting and terrible judgement on the part of organizers and authorities. An opportunity for moral and mental degenerates to join in and publically exhibit themselves for children to see sadly. Is this becoming part of Wynne gov child services? A much more subdued parade should not be too much to ask and the police could perform their official duties to ensure decency and respectability instead of attempting to participate in such scene.

Pedophiles included, they’re re increasingly better protected by immoral gov policies condoned or supported by the likes of Trudeau, Wynne who’s a Queen icon for the cause and social media. Her morally deprived friends are the ones salivating over this. What’s next? Public exhibition and abuse of chidren!

Justin! Did your children really benefit from this? Add this to your list of irrationally bad judgement? Did your political benefit supersede Sophie’s responsibility and failure to protect her children?

Kathleen! Why do you have to entice more people including children into the lewdness of your personal bedroom fancies? Why is it so important for you to ruin morality and decency as you’ve been doing with the rest of political activities? And fascist Bill 89, insanity!

Canadians are trying to tell you that the country is going downhill in many ways – none sunny – and you’re not listening! Dictatorship at work.

    • Christina says:

Well said. Im just about ready to leave this country i once stood proudly for. The canadian goveenment is shit. I can not stand ms.wynn or justin. They themselves lack decency and respect. Just disgraceful

  11. Georgina Ibbotson says:

I’m shocked a child’s brain that is not even fully developed yet , has anyone considered That?
Think like a child get down to there level take in what this vision means in there head !
How can we find the right words to explain what’s going on?
What impression this will leave with Them?
The scars of this visual display will be a childhood memory is that what we want for our Children?
Why is it OK for some to display this and not everyone?
Where’s the freedom for all ?
    I don’t understand!
The fact that this need to do this tells me a whole different story ! I’m saddened for our children and the world that is now. Scared of what the future will bring God help us all !

  12. Carmen says:

To be a foster parent we must agree to no nudity in the home (and rightfully so),. Apparently it is considered better by some to see the genitalia of strangers.

  13. Brenda says:

Man I don’t care if your gay, tri, bi, straight, green, red, yellow, white or purple, who you know or who you blow, this is a grave Injustice to all children.. We try to teach them about morals, right and wrong , good feeling’s and bad feelings, in a world where child pedophilia is at an all time high, how do you tell the children it wrong for a man to stick a penis in their faces when the see it at a public affair…
I mean, rape in all different types of genders weather straight or LGBT communities are now put at risk when things like this go on..
THERE ARE SICK INDIVIDUALS OUT THERE THAT WILL TAKE ADVANCE OF THE SITUATION WETHER ADULT OR CHILD… I don’t get where people’s thinking has gone right off track, it’s like all common sense has gone right out of the picture..
Fuck you wanna dance around naked go to a fuckin nudest colony like other nudest.. ugh frustrating…

  14. Samone says:

Sad thing is. .it’s just as creepy at the women’s march …this is becoming Sodom and Gomorrah. ..end days. ..the days of Noah

  15. ForeverChristianfighter says:

And thus the world continues down this path, a path that will only lead to ruin, a path that is obvious to the people around you, yet if you speak out, you get assaulted.

Because hate breeds hate. naysayers say “there is no slippery slope” When there is, they twist the truth, twist real logic, twist everything to suit themselves.

I’m so glad I became a Christian many years ago, I’m so glad I can actually watch this, and know that the end times is coming, the world is practically begging for it.

People are losing their freedom, and cheering for it.

  16. John Soper says:

Children seeing a man’s penis is a good topic for discussion? Are they joking.. Let me start the discussion by saying that this is a sick demented way of looking at the development of children. Next thing they will say is that would be good for children to witness gay and straight sex. Porn. Yah right.

  17. Jurgen Braunohler. says:

Having a gay parade to protest injustice, promote equality and even pride in being gay is fine. No-one has any right to mistreat a member of the LGBT community or deny them the same rights the rest of us have, which has happened far too often. But turning this into a pornographic freak fest is not family friendly, is inappropriate for children, and is doing the LGBT community a major disservice that is likely to backfire. This is little more than irresponsible sensationalism to cash in on tourist dollars. I would eliminate this element from all Pride events, or growing opposition and a backlash will do it for you.

  18. Carol Anne says:

Seriously? Find me the CBC article that uses the word “boobs” and I’ll believe you. The quoted article is incendiary poppycock.

    • Jonathon Van Maren says:

It’s quite literally linked. But since you asked, here you go: http://www.cbc.ca/parents/learning/view/7-tips-for-having-happy-pride-with-kids

      The bit I referred to:

Be open-minded.

  19. Stephen Woodworth says:

Quite clearly, such conduct violates the cultural and moral values and ideals of many Canadians. Will the commitment to diversity which until recently was cherished in Canada protect those Canadians?

  20. Michael Ciuman says:

That is messed up open minded one thing complete perversion of the young child’s mind is abuse no matter reason they don’t want see your dick or cunt in there face interesting discussion for who and really why something screams their more to this push of crap like this for very fucked reasons and need to stop

  21. RODNEY CHAMBERLAIN says:

They should all go back in the closet, our children should not be exposed to these perverts. keep your unnatural behaviour for private meetings, the majority of straight people and their children do not want to see this perverted behaviour in public .

  22. Ken says:

They are not men! They are trans something? Fluid something? She something ? Something something? But I dont think you can call them Men ….most Men are out being Men!

  23. Tammy says:

    Me too!
This is absolutely disgraceful. Everyone has lost their morals and respect for others. Such a sad society we live in. Can you imagine the future for these children. Indoctrination is everywhere. The sign of the beast.
